Greg serves on the Young Ambassadors Group Board for Council for Children's Rights and the Charlotte Shapers Board. Greg is currently part of Leadership Charlotte, Class 37 and was recently selected as a 2015 Marshall Memorial Fellow.
Greg recently completed a one-year project serving as the Director of Education Initiatives at Council for Children's Rights (CFCR). During this contract, Greg's driving focus was to leverage his entrepreneurial skills to build organizational capacity and infrastructure to support over 80+ out-of-school time (OST) programs that serve over 70,000 students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. His time at CFCR led to the development of the interactive OST Program Locator.
Greg previously served as Nashville Prep's Founding Dean of Students and eventually as the Director of Innovation. Greg began his career as a Teach For America Corps Member in Charlotte, NC, where he taught Science and coached varsity football at West Charlotte High School. While at West Charlotte, Greg was named the 2008-2009 First Year Teacher of the Year. Greg also founded & created a character development program for high school seniors and was accepted into the inaugural class of the Aspiring Leaders Program for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from the College of Wooster. He also graduated from Vanderbilt University with his M.Ed. in Leadership and Organizational Performance.
